About Us
Our Staff
Fishing For Hope Inc. was founded by George Sfouggatakis and in part by Matthew Calvo. We founded this incorporation as students in Xaverian High School with the inspiration from our personal experiences and the support of our school-based fishing club and school community.
Our History
Through our own personal experiences, we realized how vital of an asset fishing can be to stress relief. We figured it's only fair if others get to experience that same source of happiness.
Our Mission
Fishing For Hope was founded on the basis of providing a non-traditional source of therapy. We aren't here to force you to open up or get personal, we just want to get to know you and introduce you to new methods of overcoming adversities. With your support, we will be able to fund trips and discuss issues in a small group setting, to help those in need. We know from experience how communication can weather the issues of trauma.
