I am currently a student at Fordham University, and after experiencing past trauma, I have found fishing to be a great way to escape the pain and let off some steam. In 2015, I lost my mother suddenly to a heart attack and ever since that night, my life has been overwhelmed with stress and negative thoughts. In 2017, I started fishing which changed my life forever. I realized that on the water, I am freed from stress and negativity and I can finally find peace. I established this organization to guide kids to find the same peace I did; out on the water.
I am also a college student at Purdue University, Class of 2027. At the point of starting up this organization, I am at a point in my life where I feel a need to give back and be there for others, just as others have done for me throughout my childhood. I have overcome numerous adversities in my life, all of which I was able to move forward from without hesitation, relying on my friends and hobbies to distract me from reality. I feel that this incorporation exhibits and teaches the very same principles I have learned throughout my life, which is why I plan to dedicate my time to make sure that others will experience our impact.
